Just got a pair. 😀
Those must be rather old, "new old stock". If they say "made in west Germany" that’d be pre Berlin wall coming down. Here is Art S’s display for refreence. 😉
I go my coils today they are the Prufrex brand and they test good on my Merc O Tronic.
The Belgium made green coil was used in European motors until 1978.
I found many of them in Ligtwin/Yachtwin/Minitwin 4hp motors of ’70s.
When I need spare coil, I ask DGMarine on Ebay.
They sells some China made clones … after a dozen of item tested, I can judge them a good product-
However the newer style Hostart external coils they sells are not so good.
I just got a pair, made in Germany on each, quality looks good
Me too…I got me a pair to throw in my OMC stash. They look really clean, but you can tell they are NOS. I think I’ll save them for a favorite motor.
