I opened up a magneto and found the point sets Ive been hearing about.The ones that are not made to original specs. Its impossible to get these things set. I`m glad i have a few old sets to polish up.

Yes, my dealer pal gave me a set of the bad OEM points also, need to compare them to a good set in order to see what the difference is….

One thing that I noticed was that the oval hole for the eccentric adjusting stud is too wide, the stud just rotates without moving the point base.
