      Been searching all over for the shifter cable connector for my ‘57 35hp Evinrude. Found a few on some really sketchy web sites.  Where can I find one of these?  Cables are brand new but noticed damage to shifter end when reinstalling.

        Part number 377850, superseded by 385956.  marineengine.com has 10 of them, but you probably don’t want any of them @$60 bucks a whack.  I probably have one in my used odds & ends stash.
