I have a 1994 Evinrude 15 SS, manual start. As I get older (I’m 77), it gets more and more difficult to handle. I’m interested in a 1969 -1970’s OMC 25 SS, manual, which I am hoping will be lighter that the 1994 15.

Can someone please provide the weights of these two outboards, so I don’t waste my time looking for a 25? Thank you!

You might want to consider one of the later model OMC 8hps, much lighter than the 15hp.

Jim,  if most of the lifting and maneuvering is at home in your garage and on the driveway…..consider getting a hoyer lift.  I just got mine after searching for an inexpensive one on Craigslist for a while.  Sure makes things one heck of a lot easier!
