
As best as I can tell, from the examples I’ve
seen, everything on the Pal is painted a dull
silver except the petcock, fuel line, and fuel
fillings at the carburetor. They are nickel plated.
I can’t tell if the motors were painted assembled
or some parts were painted separately where
screws, nuts, and bolts would have been natural.
I would suspect the Scout covers would have
been painted, as it seems that was what they
were doing then, but like you, the 2 Scouts
I have had show no indication of paint though
neither were anything to brag about when
I got them.
