      I’m trying to identify the plastic grommet which fits over the shift lever on your typical 18-20-25hp motors, which articulates with the vertical shift detente which stops advancement of the mag plate when in neutral. I can’t seem to find it in parts catalog diagrams. This is something that is on the 74-76 models.

          Or so you mean the roller that rides in the detents? #119 and 120 (o-ring that holds it on)

            Frank, that looks like it could be the one. I think what threw me off is how difficult that picture is to make out, and the location. I’ll be fixing that situation hopefully in the next 3 months – for everyone!
