      Can anybody tell me the part number for the key that goes between the prop shaft and gear on a Johnson V45? Mine has vanished. If I don’t have a key in my parts stock, that may be my next request 😀
      Can’t find mine within 10′ of where I opened it up 😳

        Sure! The original P/N was 23-172 but I can’t find a superceded number for it.

        It shouldn’t be too hard to find one as they were used in PO’s to.

          23-172 was long gone from the book by the 1964 issue.

            Thanks guys!
            I found the key this morning. I must have pushed it deep into one of the recesses in the casting, down between two webs, with the cleaning brush. After a soak in the parts washer to soften the grease, the key came out of hiding, That stuff was like tar.
