I need the clamp that holds the tiller in place and a coil for a 4265 Ranger. I appreciate any help in getting my dads first motor running.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Firstly, thanks for the great info about the ignition system on my Ranger 4265. I cleaned up any electrical contacts and ended up getting a barely visible spark. I gave that portion of the project a rest and moved on to making a gasket for the gas cap. Took 3 layers of gasket on the INSIDE of the cap to make a seal. Putting one on the outside didn’t do the trick. Would love to know what the original looked like.
Now, at this point, I have the carb, the fuel line, valve and tank clean and have gas in the tank. I spun the motor over with a drill and socket on the flywheel nut and started getting it to fire. As I went along, the spark got better and better until it was almost running. I filled my barrel with water and spun it over some more until it ran on its own. I watched to be sure that there was water flowing and there was not, so I shut it down. This motor sat for possibly my entire life of 60 years without being run, so I am sure that part of the water system may be plugged from mud wasps, or who knows what.
Now finally, my question is, where should I start looking for the problem? Above, below or in-between? Would I dare blow air into the water exit or should I pull the pump open?
              Thank you again!
