I just found out from my distributor that they no longer are stocking this gasket sealer. I looked up Perfect Seal, and see they are no longer open. Not closed temporarily, but closed all together. This is a substance I use almost daily in my repairs and was the OEM recommendation for many, many repairs.

Anyone have a substitute for this product?

THIS IS NOT GASKET MAKER, THIS IS NOT RTV sealant.

      Again…..

THIS IS NOT GASKET MAKER, THIS IS NOT RTV sealant.

Either BRP gasket seal compound or not exactly the same, Permatex #3 Aviation gasket sealer. Existing stock of Perfect Seal is still available – Amazon, Ebay, etc.

I just picked up a can of Perfect Seal from a Merc dealer. He didn’t mention anything about it being unavailable in the future so maybe I should stock up?

BRP gasket sealer is what Im referring to made by the company Perfect Seal. They make it for all the different companies and it just gets relabled.

I bought 10 cans of the stuff today from another source and paid premium instead of my usual dealer rate, but the issue is there is a shelf life from my experience, even when unopened. It turns into clay after some time.
