Phelon coil options

I have a 1964 Mercury 350 outboard. Has Phelon magneto. Two cylinder, 35 hp. One of the coils is dead. Looks like they are NLA. Anyone have a suggestion. I will probably retrofit some OMC coils in it.

I’m no coil expert whatsoever (don’t listen to me unless somebody else agrees), but if it is the same type of coil as on the KG-7, I would use an OMC coil.  I assume you would be doing something like this video?

Look for article(s) relating to
adapting OMC coils, Not a drop in, takes a bit of fit and try
plus some creative routing of spark plug wires.

So I swapped the coils with some OMC jobs. Made new condensers with the solid state thingys in the old can and got spark on both.

Then I tried starting it on muffs and noticed a huge rainbow in the driveway. Turns out the fuel pump diaphragm was bad. Fixed that with some nitrile gloves😎.

Still no joy so decided to check the carb. Turns out the main jet is missing!!!   I found one on EBay and will put this one on hold for a few days!
