Guys,     I’m in the process of restoring and Evinrude Fisherman serial no. 426900200 ! While pulling the cylinders to remove the pistons and rings I broke a couple of them ! I was trying to loosen them so I could get my ring expander tool on them to take them off but no such luck !  So my question is,  do any of you have new rings that will fit or can direct me to someone that I can purchase them from  ?  It’s a 2″ bore x .125 gap width and the rings don’t have locating pins, the end gaps have steps in them that overlap each other so when inserted into the bore the end gap almost disappears !  Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks and remember ~  Keep the blue Smoke Flowing !

I have ordered individual rings from this outfit before.
They’re straight cut ends, but may be better than no rings
if you can’t find the correct ones.

He can made them either way, but you have to wait about 3 weeks as they would be custom made.

Gary, where are you located? any “old school” marine dealers in your neighborhood? maybe find some NOS rings.  Here in SE Michigan we have a couple possible sources…
