      The crank case cylinder flange appears to have been abused in
      the past, with some of it chipping away. There’s only about
      an 1/8" of the flange left in the problem area, and it’s a tad
      low there as well. I hesitate to build the area wider with
      JB Weld where it might fall in the crank case,
      but was thinking of leveling the low spot with it.
      Thoughts?

          The inside edge of the flange is really thin as it tapers back,
          but I suppose that someone who knows what they’re doing
          could weld it. ….. of course, I’d have to take the crank out,
          but guessing that should be no big deal.

              Got the crankcase welded up today. I don’t
              think the guy knew what the hell he was doing,
              but looks like it turned out okay.
