      On a prior thread ..
      viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9566

I queried about "How much end play is too much".
Gary said "Over .006 is too much on rotory fuel
      induction style crankshafts.
      My question now is…..

      "What’s the minimum clearance"

I had about .009 end play before originally.
      (check with a feeler gauge)
It had two gaskets on the crankcase head.
I removed the thin one (about .006 thick),
snugged it back together, and although it
turns freely yet, I don’t think I have over .001
end play. I can barely feel any end play.

"Will I have a binding problem when the old girl heats up?"

      Thanks!

0.006 is ideal. A few thou more shouldn’t cause any problems.

          Mumbles, Thanks!
Me thinks I better did thru my gasket material and make
one to give me just a tad more clearance.
