I’m putting the PO-15 back together, and am missing the male
and female "lamp cord" style plugs, that connects the wiring
from the kill switch in the tiller handle to the mag plate.
I could use some type of modern connector, but am thinking
I’d like to keep it more original looking.
I can find lots of the repro, antique looking "male" plugs
(for lamp restorations, etc.) but can’t find any matching
vintage or reproduction "Female" plugs.
Looked at several antique electrical vendors, Ebay, etc.
Any ideas where I might find one?The one photo is someone else’s PO showing what I presume
to be the original plugs.
The other is a reproduction "male" plug, costing less that $4.
Thanks for any ideas!Prepare to be boarded!
December 3, 2016 at 3:13 am #48432I found mine at a antique market. Like you I a problem at first to come up with one, but when I found a vendor with one he had all kinds of them at $5.00 each. Maybe I should have bought a few, but one never thinks at the time. Hind sight is 20/20!!!!

could check out!Prepare to be boarded!
December 3, 2016 at 5:05 am #48445Antique places. Garage sales. Flea markets. Old extension cords are a source for the female side.
December 3, 2016 at 1:54 pm #48457Won’t be any garage sales or "outdoor" flea markets in this neck of the
woods for about six months, but some antique shops stay open all winter.
I probably poked metal objects into the old extension cords when
I was little, but I don’t even remember the last time I even seen a two hole
female plug!Prepare to be boarded!

I made many parts this way …
To make a mold, you need basic cheap silicone.
Add drops of water based paint ( for the color) and 2 drops of water.Mix this. This will cure in 45 minutes.
Just have to have a pattern coated with vaseline or spoon (plates liquid washer works). Then pour whatever you want in the mold.
Metall All, resin, Bondo, epoxy from the Dollar Store …It s been a while I didn t play with it, so can t remember the details, but always had success.
December 4, 2016 at 2:30 am #48486I found 2 of those in my dad’s old junk box. They don’t have the leaves molded into them but are similar. Send me a pm and i will let you have them both. I have more but the bakelite is broken.
December 4, 2016 at 12:27 pm #48503The Female side is the hardest to find. I need one for my PO-15 Re-build.
I have been thinking of other ways to connect them and use the motor until I stumble onto one.
