Anyone know the correct color scheme for a 1950 Johnson PO?
Is everything painted "Sea Fog Green", or are some parts
      "Dull Aluminum", i.e., prop, etc?
I see traces of the original green on the power head, but
otherwise someone has repainted everything "Aluminum"
      in the past.

Decided to tear the PO all apart to clean, inspect, and paint.
Huge crankshaft rod needles on this thing!
Should be interesting getting them back together!

Buccaneer. I picked up a 1950 PO this last summer that is all original and pretty clean. I don’t know how to post a pic on here. If you want to send me an email address I’d be happy to send you some photos

Up to 1944 All POs were aluminum except for the decals. After World War Two (Late 1945/early 1946) they switched to a Sea Mist Green.

            – except for the decals and spark plug covers. . . 😉

              Gary, thanks for the photos!
I bet "Thumper" is a hoot to drive.

49morphew emailed me a bunch of photos of his original PO-15.
His rope pulley does not appear to be painted (or painted silver),
and the mag lever and carb adjust lever is silver as well.
