I’ve been trying to do some homework on this material…any field trials people can offer up?

Tygon is made of PVC, where as polyurthane claims to be OK for exposure to fuel as well depending on the type.

Of course, looking at eBay is a crap shoot in terms of descriptions and applications.

Even if it were good, I wouldn’t like it. Looks crappy and unprofessional. Different opinions allowed.

I see where youre coming from. Im looking at regular line from the motor fuel connector to pump, and something you can see through from pump to carb as a utility benefit. Its out of eye sight but helpful as a minor diagnosis tool if necessary.

Just doing more homework on what the best material would be if I go down that road.

And that is another issue. I think see-through fuel lines should be outlawed. People get all bent out of shape when they see bubbles in them. And bubbles are pretty normal. Again, different opinions are allowed.

Well I set a new rule for this season that you might smirk hearing about:

"No customers allowed to watch me carry out service work."

100% of the time, every person likes to start weighing in on what they think a repair should be and how it should go. That became old, real fast…and is a distraction, to say the least.

well as I questionned the other day… maybe we should run a clear hose between the top and bottom of mid 50s engines to see if the upper bearing is getting it’s oil feed from the bottom nipple output of the crankcase . ( side hose )

As long as we’re talking about poly fuel lines, what brand
is flexible in cold weather? Replaced some 16 year old
line on the Skidoo the other day with some new hardware
store poly line. The original line was still nice and flexible,
the new stuff, no so much 🙁

                      Prepare to be boarded!

Out of necessity, I use weed edger fuel line for this application. The kind I buy has a green color to it, but it is transparent and made for modern fuel. It is kinda cool to see the fuel percolating to the upper crankcase/bearing.

For the main fuel lines, I prefer to stick with black automotive 3/8" fuel line for low pressure applications. It works and it’s a good substitute for the original lines.
