Completed the videos that will hopefully provide the cause of the stiffness.  There are 5 videos.

The crankshaft seems to me to be true and not bent.

My feeling is that the bushings on the connecting rods are rough and provide a significant amount of resistance to turning the crankshaft.  Since I would replace both connecting rods it didn’t make sense to do one at a time.  This is difficult for me to assess since I have not this type of testing with an outboard motor on the bench.  There is no oil lubricating anything except for the WD-40 in the cylinders.

When you say “Just the Pistons” does that means no rings installed?

        Prepare to be boarded!

If those are without rings, and you have to wrench it over, something’s wrong.  Crankshaft alone is beautiful

Pistons were reinserted into the cylinders WITH the rings, for “Just the pistons”.

I don’t  have a feel (experience) for how easily the crankshaft would rotate in that situation.

As mentioned the only lubrication is from the WD 40 I used to help with putting the pistons back into the cylinders.
