I have a couple pressure tanks that leak a bit of fuel . Should I use a sealant (aviation cement) on the gaskets when I redo them or just clean them good and use the new gaskets without any sealer? Thanks for any help!

First make sure the eight screws that are in there now are tight. This is often the cause of leaks. If you replace the gasket, a sealer can’t hurt. I always use a sealer when replacing a gasket on my tanks.

It was leaking at the pump and a bit at the gasket. Just started sanding it down for new paint. Thinking Rustoleum rusty metal primer and then there industrial spray paint or the engine high temp paint and hoping that by summer it will be cured so if I do drip a bit of gas it wont hurt it.
