Hello all, can we identify this little aluminum prop MB5259  6 -5/8″ diam two blade. It came with a Merc KD 3 but obviously is not the correct prop for that motor… it does not fit. I scanned the Michigan Wheel Cat… not there , not even a Michigan wheel  number format. It must be for a small motor 2 to 3 HP .  Any ideas?

      Thanks,

      Joe B

What defines “obviously does not fit”?  I have very little knowledge about mercs but I’m sure that would help narrow it down.  6 and 5/8″ diameter does not seem too far off for diameter but that could just be me.

I was just hoping that someone would recognize the model number MB5259.  It defiantly does not fit the KD3 , the hub is way too short and the diameter is an inch too small.

            .

My guess would be its from the little air cool Waterwitch. Some Waterwitchs have a MB prefix in there model and parts numbers.

Oh yeah, that is where I heard that number.  I could check my air Cooled water witch number if that is of any help.

Yes, I think that the “MB” / Waterwitch connection may help. I checked my little 3/4 hp Waterwitch and no match… maybe a larger motor would use that prop.

This is the prop on the larger twin tank motors.

Thanks Tubs ,  looks similar but the MB5259 is the opposite rotation.  not sure if you call it RH or LH , but looking from the aft end its LH rotation…. CCW
