I picked this up a few years ago and it finally ended up on my work stand. It probably has not run in many years. Compression is low, measuring dry, but even. The coils red-lined my coil tester. Changed out the condensers and cleaned the points. Great spark.
The lower unit had no water in it, but pressure testing it, there is a definite seal leak. Have you ever been in the lower unit to change seals? Are seals still available. The motor did not shift in the beginning, but now it does.
The carb is the strangest looking one that I have seen. It looks like the reed plate comes off with the carb. Gaskets available?
Any advice would be appreciated.
