While testing the water pump on my QD-16 resto project, I find the lower core plug on the cylinder head is leaking (see pic).    My parts list shows a part #19-51 but I can’t locate a replacement using that number and I find no superseding number.  The plug is approximately 5/8″ diameter.   Anybody have a current part number?    Also, what is the best way to remove the old plug?

Some of the powerhead welch plugs are the same as ones that come with the OMC carburetor kits. To remove the old one, punch or drill a hole in the center and pry out with a small screwdriver.

I had the same thought about the carb kit plugs.  I’ve saved all of the extra pieces out of my carb rebuild kits over the years and none of the plugs are the right size for this one I need to replace.    Ed Elliott has a couple of replacement plugs headed my way.
