Question on 57 18 hp Johnson

I have a 1957 18 hp Johnson ,maroon & White. Is complete /good condition. I,m 79 yoa and can not longer pull through hard enough to start it anymore. There are no teeth ( ring gear) on the flywheel  .How hard is it to find a flywheel with the ring gear,a starter and the bracket to accommodate a starter . Would like to keep using it….

Gene yes that stuff you need is available.  I would suggest to place a want add in the classified section of this website and see what happens.   Plenty of people are in the same boat that you are in and those parts are disappearing.
