I am restoring an RD-10. Johnson 25 hp. The original flywheel was damaged. Part # 580109. I managed to get a flywheel replacement with the same part # but there is some suttle differences. My RD10 is a 1951 and the replacement is from a 1953 I believe. But same part #? Will this work?

580109 is superseded by 580212. Book sez 580212 fits RD-10 through RD-19. Having said that, the newer number will fit older motors where superseded, but in some cases a part from an older motor might not work in a newer motor. In your case, you are putting a 1953 on a 1951, so you should be good to go.
