Ok the time has almost come for me to get back out on the water. Who knew improperly attaching the remote shift linkage could cause so much money, time angst etc. I took all the parts from 3 lower units to this fancy boat place in Sausilito and the master technician who was working on million dollar boats knew exactly what to do. He put the lower unit back together and was supposed to re-attach the lower unit and adjust the shift linkage and I was supposed to be boating around the Golden Gate Bridge yesterday. He said he did t have time to do it and good luck. With a 450 bill of course.

Well my regular mechanic is going to do it today but here is the question. Is. There a seal or gasket at the top ( or bottom)
Of the drive shaft that needs to be replaced? Please reply fast as the dude is going to start workout ngbon my body soon.

With some luck and more $$ I might get out today on the river. I am determined to get this right. Thanks
