      Refurbishing a 1957 Evinrude 3 hp, Model 3022. Needing a recoil spring and not finding a part number, to locate the spring. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

        No Problem. That spring is the most common and was used since the late 1930s. Superseded by 307573 when OMC (yes, it was used by Johnson in the ’30s also) computerized there inventory in 1958 . . 😀

            It was the first recoil spring Sierra Marine duplicated and is one there largest sellers. . . 😉
