I use FileMaker Pro, a database program, to record all the work I’ve done, costs and also store photos of the motor.

Right now all my outboards have a piece of painter’s tape with a magic marker
number that corresponds to my inventory list. I have a couple of printed
copies in the garage, and one on my computer of course.
I print off a lot of individual pages from digital manuals that I take to
the garage to work on the outboard of the day. I now have them in
a hanging file holder in the garage, all sorted by model.

        Prepare to be boarded!
