Why are some names red and some are not. How do we change to red, if it is important.

Related, I suspect… how do I gain access to members only on my smart phone… I can get there on this computer but not on my phone.

The names you see in red belong to AOMCI members. All you have to do to get yours to turn red is to join the club. This also allows you into our "Inner Sanctum" as well as a subscription to our excellent club magazine, The Antique Outboarder. Plus our Tech Questions page, Members motor exchange (Webvertise for members) and Dockside Chat pages.

If you already are a member of the AOMCI, you have to apply to this sites administrator to get full access to these boards and have your name highlighted in red. If you click on ‘Admin’ in the following link, you can PM him the information he needs.

I don’t think that is really true. I’m a member and have full access to both boards, but my names not in red.

It’s a verification of membership in the club. I call it creditability and it is done as stated above. Try it and see for yourself.

There are four more boards here (for AOMCI members only) on this site besides these two, Ask A Member and Free Classifieds which are open to both club members and the general public. Unless you PM the administrator with the needed information, the other four are hidden from your view.

I am in the ‘Inner Sanctum’ without a red name, as far as I can tell. AOMCI member for over 3 decades. What gives? My phone is smart enough to stay on the wall, where it belongs.

Besides having full access to the green board, I also have access to Ask a Member, Free Classifieds, Technical Discussion and Member Classifieds here. is there something else I’m missing on this board. It seems like when we went to this board, I did contact the administrator.
