Remote kill switches for pre 58 OMC?

I’m outfitting an old wooden boat with remote steering and controls with a Johnson FD 11. Is it possible to hook up a remote kill switch on these motors? I know the 58’s had them

Sure. All you have to do is run two wires, one to each set of breaker points. Other ends to the kill switch.

I think the traditional color for the magneto lines was black,
but it switched to yellow & black at some point.

A (late) friend who was an RF/analog Circuit Designer was appalled that someone would attach an "antenna" (runs up to the ignition switch) to an RF source like the magneto primary!!
