      I did notice in your first pictures one of your rings has the gap visible, those should be turned so the gap doesn’t go across the ports. I’ve been told they can break that way. So maybe pulling the cylinder might be a good idea. It’s not hard.

        A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
