Thanks Tubs for your PM …….the photos are a big help. Unfortunately the coils that I got from the Evinrude agent don’t look like the Zephyr ones in your photos.
I must admit that I am fascinated by the idea of using zephyr coils. I didn’t think that magneto coils could be used instead of battery ignition coils.
It certainly sounds a good idea to not cut the wires until the coil is removed from the tube.
Any ideas as to what should be put back in the tube to replace the goo that is in there now?
