Good news! Started motor first time on 2nd pull. Compressions 65psi on both cylinders. Minimum idle speed according to my manual rev counter (Sirometer)is about 850 rpms. Interesting to note that my 1972 6 HP Evinrude, which I have had since new and has low hrs, been carefully run and maintained ( no salt water), has 70psi on both cylinders, which I thought was low in comparison.
I have a video clip of it idling, but at this stage am unable to attach it to my post.
