      Looking at buying a restored mk58. Engine is other side of the states and current owner ( purchased boat with this motor on it) never ran it or put it through its paces. He did send me some video of it idling. Any chance someone on this forum could look at the video and see if anything sticks out? I’d hate to purchase and get it back home only to find some easy tell tale sign that there was an issue. Any advice would be appreciated. Apparently the person he bought the boat from a year ago restored motors….

        Baylor2022,

        First things first what what was done to the engine for this so called restoration? Send me the video or post it here. Can only give you pointers due to only pictures and video. Will the seller back up the purchase if motor fails when you get it out on lake.
