      Thanks, Joe. A possible good source. I’ve been wondering how to make one but haven’t come up with any adequate ideas.

      It would be important to check that the ratchet teeth don’t reach high enough to chew into the fiberglass cowling.

        They sit very low to plate. I can measure them if you like on the one I got.

          I have noticed their is a lot more parts for Scotts than West Bends but most magneto builders were universal for all brands most of brands using more than one magneto builder. Also when it is the same magneto builder on same hp outboard even internal parts vary.

          The brands we are currently discussing are Scott Atwater and West Bends both of which used Wico Magnetos and others as their magneto supplier.

            For whatever reason many of the Wico flywheels aren’t drilled. Some have a molded hole that can be tapped. Some just have a dimple and have to be drilled and tapped. Best, if possible, to knock it off once and drill on a drill press or mill.
