First one I have seen around here. 1913 Evinrude been listed for 2 weeks. I know it is not worth the $350 and as of yet, don’t know the condition. What are your thoughts?
November 3, 2015 at 2:14 am #26460Hugh,
They aren’t making any more of them, that is for sure. We all have to decide what we want as opposed to what we "NEED" in our collections.
Happy Hunting!
November 3, 2015 at 3:14 am #26465Hugh,
The motor in the photo provided is not a 1913 ( based on its features ) It is from the mid to late teens, a serial number would need to be provided to determine the year.Respectfully
November 3, 2015 at 3:33 am #26467Thanks for the info. I am kinda sitting on this. If it is still there next week, I will call and talk to him. I will get the numbers and condition and run them by you guys. I want to be sure what I am buying as I have no knowlage on them. Maybe the price will be more easy to talk about too.

Not bad price for that motor. If we’re to purchase that on eBay or a member up north, you would have freight cost of $80 to $100. Maybe you can persuade the seller to drop to $300. If it were in my area I would purchase it. It looks to be in decent condition.
Hugh, I hope the buyer drops the price some and you get that motor. They are fun to work on. Mine is in slow mechanic restore.
Cheers,
David T.
November 3, 2015 at 4:43 pm #26478As to the price, I wouldn’t sell any of mine for that price, and if I ran across one for that price that looks that good, I’d find it difficult not to buy it.
And I don’t need another
November 3, 2015 at 4:54 pm #26479Well, let’s just say I’m a sucker if you want to, but I paid more than that and drove 800 miles each way to get mine. Then spent time and money restoring it and it’s not done yet.
November 3, 2015 at 7:07 pm #26484If it was in my area, I bought it right away.
looks 100% complete, not easy to find it much cheaper
it depends of course also what the ID plate tells you,
some years have a low production number.
good luck
😉November 3, 2015 at 10:36 pm #26491Thanks for chiming in. I went ahead and sent a feeler email to him asking for the numbers and if it turns over. See if he gets back to me tonight. I’m leaning towards getting more serious about it and my pay pal acc is up right now 😀 😀
November 4, 2015 at 12:20 am #26498Hugh, I hope you get it. There are many here more than willing to help you with whatever you need to get it running again and once you do… well it’s about a much fun as you can have with your clothes on. Keep us posted on how you make out! But for that price, I’d have been all over it.
