I do have another coil that was rebuilt on another non-running motor that has sub-par compression, and I could take the leads off of there, but it does have metal boots, whereas the original had rubber.  I would consider taking the whole redone coil off, but I would still have to solder on the battery leads and connect it to the points, so it is more of a hassle than trying new plug wires.

This is where something like the 3d printed coil housing comes into play.  One can build this coil and run the motor until your heart is content, then swap the original coil back in for “display” purposes.  I have tried at least 4 different times to separate the end caps from original coils… I failed every time breaking them.  So I designed the 3d printed coil housing, no messy potential harmful tar to monkey with and all internal parts are easy to replace should they need be..

I can print them in brown, black or pretty much any color you want if you so desire. I can even build it for you so you need only install the coil.

Let me know, I will be at Tomahawk and will have some brown and black there if needed.

I think I will try installing the rebuilt coil I speak of, but if that doesn’t work, I will certainly consider a 3D printed housing.  Thanks for the help.
