Today I got a Johnson 200 and after a little cleaning up of the area between the flywheel and the gas tank(involving some bending of the gas tank mounts so that the tank would not scrape the flywheel), and a check for spark, I got it running.  After a few seconds I went to try to shut it off….and the stop button did not work, causing me to have to lean out the mixture till it stopped(I cannot stand a big backfire when flooded and I don’t want to upset the neighbors).  I know that the issue probably has something to do with the wire that goes to the stop button, but the question I ask is weather or not it be worth it to just clean up the button area and not bother looking inside the flywheel.  I also feel that the motor was running a bit fast when I started to lean it out, but that could also have something weird to do with the fuel mixture(although that being said, I would think that my motors was not running too rich before leaning out).  Big question I’m getting to is wheather or not the model 200 has the dual flywheel keys, because if it does I may try alternate routes because I found the Johnson A keys to be a pita.
