I have a gg9014a and a gg9015. Differences are prop rotation and neutral. Is one faster? I don’t have a gps to check speed.

The powerhead are the same, power output is the same. I don’t see where the lower unit would have much difference at the speeds you would see with 5 horse power. Between the two, I like the later model. As long as you don’t damage the prop shaft seal by getting a monofilament fish line wrapped around the prop shaft – and check the oil periodically & change when necessary, it should run another 60 years. Any motor can be neglected to death, and many are. That model was built for many years and parts are still plentiful.

Opinions expressed are mine and AOMCI may not be held accountable if I am proven wrong. Guaranteed not to tre or split at the seams when used as directed. Not to be used in atomic facilities or life threatening situations. . . . . . 😀
