      I would like some help identifying the year and model of this motor. It is a Sea King.

        I believe it was built by Evinrude in the mid to late ’30 s – around 4 horse power.         . . . 😉

          I did a little more digging and found some numbers on it 491-0140. Looking at the outboard book the 491 could be a 1935 model and the 0140 the serial number possibly. If I’m figuring all that correctly Garry then you are spot on. Evinrude made 4.0 HP. Thanks for the response.
