      I am currently working on a 1939 Sea king model #477 outboard (1.8hp). Like all the rest of my motors, the tilt pin happens to be missing. Does anybody have a similar motor that still has this tilt pin? What I would lke to do is to make a new one. I need the dimensions first before I can start this project. Any help would be appreciated.
      Best regards, John C

        Unfortunately I have lost the name of the member who was duplicating that tilt pin (part number 133482 for Evinrude Ranger, Elto Pal & Sea King Single – 133024 for Evinrude Mate and Elto Cub)

          Thanks, Gary. I will have to look into some old issues of Antique Outboarder magazine and find them. Was curious if he still made them.

            I’ve reproduced pins for both the Ace and the Sea King Midget.

            Dimensions that I used for the smaller pin;

            OAL – 1.565"
            Dimensions of larger section are 3/8" diameter X 1.000 long
            The smaller section is 0.245" diameter X 0.565" long.

            These are the specs I was given to work with by my customer. Measure the holes in your transom bracket first, sometimes the Sea Kings had smaller holes for the tilt pin to fit into. You can machine your pin to suit, or you can do what my customer did, which was drill the holes out to 1/4".

            Hope this helps.

            Best,
            T2

              Thank you T2. I looked up the person who used to make these for a reasonable price but he is no longer with us. May he rest in peace.

                That is too bad, because my prices are completely unreasonable 😉
