any of you folks know if "seafoam" .. the miracle product for our oldies is any good to cure engine ping in a car.
my kia Sorento 2011 is rattling under r load when accelerating 🙁

August 27, 2015 at 7:05 am #22755My personal un-knowledgeable opinion is that it won’t work. I’d rather believe you have some fault in the computerized fuel injection system. Possibly a bad sensor somewhere.

Not personally familiar with you vehicle but I suspect your in need
of a knock sensor. This sensor detects pre-ignition and retards the
timing accordingly. Best to take it to where they have experience
with your brand and have the proper test equipment. Allowing this
to continue can be way more expensive and inconvenient than what
taking it in now and leaving it for a day will be.A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

no seafoam needed

August 27, 2015 at 7:22 pm #22779Well, I reckon the end result was good news. I’ve been hearing a rattle in my zero-turn mower for awhile. Yesterday I found the cause–engine fell off. Sheared off all 4 mounting bolts.
