Sealing a 50’s OMC gearcase

Hi all, I know you use 3M 847 on the spaghetti seal, and OMC gasket sealant on the gasket under the water pump, and on the bolts holding the skeg on.
My question is what to use on the orings on the gear case head and bearing assembly. Also do you use any sealant between the metal to metal contact when I install the seals, and on the brass bushing for the oring for the shift rod?

Smear some gasket sealant on the gc head o-ring and in the other places you mentioned (except the spaghetti)
