Anyone have a source for really small screws to attach small tags to things. Bolt Depo has no. 4 slotted machine screws but I think they are too big.

November 27, 2016 at 7:12 pm #48085You could obtain ones called "drive" screws, commonly used on outboards to affix the ID tags…

At the Toledo Weak Signals hobby show one of the venders is
"RTL Fasteners" and they have a wide variety and good prices,
They also have a lot of stainless hardware etc.. 😎Good Luck,
Bob
November 28, 2016 at 4:05 am #48115RTL carries even sizes 0,2,4 and up.
If you need odd sizes 1,3,5 and so on you could try Fastenall.

Ace hardware sometimes carries a #2 screw. You might have to tap the hole. If you use a #2 tap, use extreme caution because it can snap off easily. Make sure you use a thread-cutting lubricant and don’t take long turns.

Very true words spoken there George. In all my years in the shop; we only purchased Butterfields. Cheap taps are very brittle, especially in those very small sizes.

$2.50 a piece now! 😯
I’m sure there’s a small fortune worth of them hiding in the dark corners out in the garage!
