I’m having problems now when I turn on the gas to my little Elgin it immed floods out on the firt Pull. I’ve rebuilt several lawn mower and a few smaller old car carbs but have never done one for an outboard and was told they were a lot different. If so how hard are they to rebuild.

Shouldn’t be much different. The float may have sunk from ethanol in the gas, or dirt in the needle valve.

I have the ethanol free gas in it, or supposedly ethanol free so hopefully it’s just a dirty needle I’ll give that a shot. But this motor is becoming a pain put transistorized igniton on that keeps going out because I can’t find the right condensor. Now this who would’ve thought tracking down parts for a small 70 y/o motor would be this tough.
