About 4 months ago I posted a question about repairing the external engine fuel line connector for the subject engine. Mumbles said to heat it up and pull the pieces apart. I have been trying this without success. I have been using a heat gun and twisting the parts. I am afraid to twist any harder for fear of breaking the connector. Do I have to go to a propane torch or what ?
      Thanks for any additional advice

Yeah, go with the gas torch. Don’t worry about melting the O ring as you’ll be replacing it anyway. What you want to do is loosen or melt the sealer holding it together. If the propane won’t do it, bring out the big gun, the oxy-acetylene torch.

Was this the fitting, a Scott-Atwater style?
