Hello.  I am in the process of restoring a 3/4 hp air cooled Waterwitch from the 30’s/40s (I still have not been able to identify the year).  I was looking for decals and found some on eBay, but the decals for the speed adjustment lever seem to be off.  On the original decals it clearly said Stop, Slow, possibly Start (Decals were poor), and Fast.  The one I found on eBay looks like this:

DecalsIt appears to be missing the stop part of the decal, and while it looks mostly accurate otherwise, I would like to see if I can find decals that are more correct. I would not be using the flywheel part of the decal unless I can find anybody who knows what the decals are supposed to look like, so that part being possibly inaccurate is not a concern. Does anybody know where I could find decals that are more accurate, or is it just better to use the ones that are easy to find on Ebay?  They are not so off that it would be highly noticeable, but it would bug me a little bit every time I adjusted the speed.

The decals on Ebay are also missing the starting instructions that go above the speed decals. I would like to find decals with those if possible. I also found that it is a 1941 model 571.35, so it is actually a 1 horse. It is the same motor as the 3/4 hp as far as I can tell, but it must have had an upgraded carburator or something.

I have the 3/4 hp single. I has a simple, poppet valve fuel mixer, compared to the more modern arrangement your motor has. The decal set offered on eBay is for this later model WW with the side decals for our motors thrown in. I don’t know of a start/oil instruction decal for our motors but there is a link below to the Stop – Slow – Start – Fast decal for yours.

Thank you.  That should help me out for some time until I can find the decals for the starting instructions.
