Does anyone have a high quality scanned version of this. I can’t seem to find my hard copy. I have one that is on the net, but it is such low quality that the pictures really show nothing of value.

This one talks about premature clutch dog wear due to bad shifting. It’s something I want to give away for free to folks I sell motors to. It’s a great educational tool.

      Thanks.

You could easily make a handout sheet up with some pictures showing what will happen if they do it wrong, along with instructions on the proper shifting technique. Or sell them a non-shift motor.

I already have a whole website with this stuff, but having an ‘official company bulletin’ from Evinrude always sends the message home that much more.

Operators are lazy in general and dont care for motors.

Here is a link to the Johnson version that I scanned to a PDF for you: #SB-820 (Revised)

Let me know when you have it so I can remove it – I’m at the tipping point where my hosting service can charge me extra when I get over a certain amount of MB.

This may or may not be what you already have and may be the same as lotec’s only the Evinrude version, but it’s what I found on my computer. Actually his Johnson version looks like it has a bit more info, and is a little sharper.

Thank you to everyone. The johnson one A.S. posted has better picture quality – and as the saying goes beggars can’t be choosers…A.S. is there any way to get that scanned in at a higher DPI rate. You can always email it if that helps out. You have my email A.S. We just corresponded about hosting a meet in Manchester 😉 Still a little hard to see the actual wear on the gears in the pictures.

I have the evinrude one off the net that is posted above, it has pretty much the same info and better pictures but the quality of the scan is so low you can’t make out any of the details in the pictures…the most valuable part.
