      Hello to all;
      I need a little help setting the points on my ’67 V-4. (Again). Battery distributor ignition.

      It seems I do best roping it around, watching for the points to break continuity on the multi-meter. I see the one, "points break" mark on the distributor housing, but can’t find another. I also see one red mark on the toothed distributor pulley, but just one.
      And, what should the throttle position be, when setting points?

      I seem to remember someone posted a page out of an old manual which explained this procedure, (using a light to indicate circuit make / break).

      I swear, I get these set right by feeler gauge, and that doesn’t work. Not sure what my problem is, on that.

      The old ones below are what I found, after what I think was a condenser failure. There were probably less than 50 hours on these.

      All opinions welcome.
      Many thanks;
      Alan

        There should be a second mark 90 degrees from the first one. Throttle position does not matter

          I found the other mark; and I see how the distributor locator mark moves w’ the throttle.
          Many thanks, yet again, to Frank R.
