      Hello,

      It has been a while since I have been on the site. It is such a great resource.

      I have a 1956 10hp Evinrude. My son hit the bottom while using the boat today. Need a shear pin.

      What size or part number am I looking for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you and stay a safe

        Chart says it takes an Olson #26 shear pin,
        that’s 3/16″ diameter x 1-3/8″ long

          Funny. As I just learned from my recent thread on shear pins, the pins have different numbers for the same size, depending on the manufacturer. Cosum’s number for the same size pin is, in fact, #17.
