I found another good deal on Amazon.ca but this time it’s for spark plug wire. Not for fuel pumps or water pumps
The first roll I bought arrived in two days from Vancouver but the second one won’t be here for a week with the holiday season here. The rolls are 100′ long and have white Hypalon insulation under a black jacket which I like. Some other Sierra wire I bought from my auto supply just had black insulation and was as limp as a noodle so I returned it. These prices are in Canadian dollars but a little bit more will be added on for our PM’s pension plan at checkout.

December 31, 2021 at 7:51 pm #252069I buy by -the-foot on eBay for about a buck a foot…
That spool price is nice, but I don’t need 100′. I don’t work on as many engines as you guys do…

January 1, 2022 at 5:55 am #252080Funny, I have a roll of both kinds and I kinda like the limp stuff a little bit better. It seems not to get caught on stuff as much, when magnetos move. Just my own observation. To each his own, certainly. My all-black stuff is branded “Packard,” so maybe it’s different from what you have, Mumbles.

January 2, 2022 at 6:16 pm #252203Remember Boat Fix? I ordered 1 thermostat and got 1 bag of thermostats. so I ordered 1 foot of plug wire and got 1 roll. I guess they didn’t understand U of M. Just like the big marina down the road who couldn’t sell me a 20 hp Yamaha because they are package only. I called to see if they had a shift shaft seal for a 9.8 Merc. The parts guy gave me a hard time telling me they come in a bag of 10 (or 5). And he indicated I would have to buy the whole bag. (real Jerk) I said no problem. I went to the parts counter and the summer help girl sold me the whole bag for the price of 1 seal. Some times you luck out.
January 2, 2022 at 9:01 pm #252204Last year I went to my window-doors shop for ONE small clip used to hold the spring is a sash window.
They ( the clerk) wanted to sell me a bag of 12 “minimum order” he said !
told him to get the manager out of his office .I told the manager for the 15K$ window job I gave his company years ago I want ONE clip…. told him they don’t charge for mustard and relish on a hot dogs why in the world should I pay for 12 clips for a small maintenance part .???
He openned up the bag aand gave me a clip.
