October 26, 2016 at 3:19 pm #46497I haven’t ordered form them, but recently ordered transistors from a similar company that, like this company, ships from China; and I currently have $4 phono cartridges on order from another. These companies generally prefer Paypal, which is good because it keeps your credit card info in the states. The only downside I see in ordering from these companies is that you may have to wait one to two months to get your parts. There is the possibility that "brand name" parts may be good copies that don’t perform as well. The power transistors I ordered for an old stereo Amp were labeled "Samples", I think to get around import duty and maybe get through customs faster. They were shipped via US Post Office International operations, which I’d never heard of before, but a valid tracking number was provided. Let us know if you order and what your experience is.

My son worked for a bicycle CO. who was contracting bikes from China . Anything to cut costs was gospel ! down to thinning rubber brake pads
$800-1000$ cdn "Snow Goose" down winter parkas were copied for $80 in China including Made in Canada stickers !! and lots of chicken feathers !
buyer beware I guess…
btw my last coils were purchased from a marine outfit they were asking $35 CDN each but dropped them to $29 when I fainted . 😮

October 26, 2016 at 4:22 pm #46502I have ordered many "batches" of coils from oldoutboardjim here on the site, and been very pleased with the price and quality of the well made light green German coils. Of course I ordered 8 of them, ended up paying $114 for 8, free shipping UPS, pretty cheap. I don’t know what 2 of them would be, the more you buy the cheaper they are. You could PM him, or maybe his email is on his profile.

I’ve been in touch with the manufacturer of these coils but they want a copy of my business card before they will give me a quote on any quantities. Since I can’t supply that, everything is in limbo right now. I believe they will send a sample first though before committing to buy. These coils are riveted and might be a better fit than the other ones. Alibaba is something like Ebay or Shop China and I’ve used them before without any problems.

Why not create a business card on your computer?
October 26, 2016 at 6:14 pm #46510I did start designing some a few years ago. Another project on the ‘to do’ list!
